Email supportFrequently asked questions
What can I loop?
Any audio file you have: MP3, WAV, AIFF, M4A, FLAC, and the rest of what iOS can play. Demos, rehearsal recordings, board mixes, backing tracks, lessons.
Can I loop songs from Apple Music or Spotify?
No. Streaming services lock their audio so other apps can't open it. If you've got the song as a file (a purchase, a demo, a recording), bring that in instead.
How do I set a loop?
Play up to the start of the passage and tap Mark Start, then play to the end and tap Mark End. It starts looping right away.
Can I fix a loop that's a little off?
Yes. Drag the orange handles on the waveform for the rough spot, then tap −/+ under Start or End to nudge it a tenth of a second at a time.
Is there a gap when it loops around?
No. The loop is played straight from memory, so the turnaround is clean, and a fast run comes back around in time.
Do my loops save?
Yes, automatically. Every loop you close is saved to that song. Tap it to jump back in, or long-press it to delete it.
Can I slow a song down without it sounding like a chipmunk?
Yes. Speed and pitch are separate. Half speed stays in tune, and you can move the key up or down without changing the tempo.
What happens when I tap Exit Loop?
The loop ends and the song keeps playing from the end of the section, as if you'd let the take run on.
Does it work in the car?
Yes, with CarPlay. Browse your Library, Sets, and saved Loops, skip back and forward 15 seconds, and mark loops from the dashboard. Speed and pitch stay on the phone. Keep your eyes on the road.
Can I use it on my Mac and iPad?
Yes. Your songs, loops, and sets sync through your own iCloud. The Mac is the easiest place to drag in a batch of songs and build your sets.
Why does a song say it's still downloading?
It came over from another device through iCloud and hasn't finished downloading yet. Give it a moment and tap it again.
Will it keep playing if I lock my phone?
Yes. The loop keeps going in the background.
Do you collect my data?
No. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. Your songs and loops stay on your devices and in your own iCloud. See the privacy policy.
Is there an Android version?
Not right now. LoopMuse runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and CarPlay.
